In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Renting a vehicle requires:

A valid, full driving license appropriate for the vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of current address. Valid payment information and a security deposit are necessary, as are any additional requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations at Carhirestaines can be made online, via phone, or directly at our Dartford office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle from Car Hire Staines, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed at this time. Please return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and appropriate charges will apply. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level; refueling fees will be incurred if it is returned with less fuel. Late returns may result in extra charges, so contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate being late. You will be liable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during your rental, along with a processing fee.
Insurance and Responsibility

You will be liable for damages or loss up to the excess amount, unless you have opted for extra coverage. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance status.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise details, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Vehicles rented from Carhirestaines must not be used for any illegal activities. This includes racing, rallying, or off-roading, as well as transporting hazardous materials. Sub-letting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is prohibited. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, vehicles should not be used for purposes outside their intended design, exceed passenger or weight limits, or be driven outside agreed geographical boundaries without prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Carhirestaines will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
9. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of their courts.
